It appears Kris Letang is staying with the Pittsburgh Penguins. According to RDS, the Penguins have agreed to terms with Letang on an eight-year, $58 million contract with an average annual value of $7.25 million and a limited no-trade clause to 15 teams. According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com, the deal is not officially done yet as Letangs agent and Penguins GM Ray Shero were expected to meet at Sundays NHL Draft to iron out the details. Letang has one year left on his current contract that will pay him $3.5 million with an identical cap hit.

NASHVILLE -- The Pittsburgh Penguins needed a boost to snap a three-game skid. They got it from Tanner Glass, who blocked shot after shot after shot by Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber. Glass got in front of five shots, Matt Niskanen scored his second goal of the game 7:29 into the third period, and the Penguins beat the Predators 3-1 on Tuesday night. "We saw Tanner Glass come up with some huge blocks in the first period on Shea Weber," Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma said.

Pineda, who missed the past two seasons after right shoulder surgery, beat out David Phelps, Adam Warren and Vidal Nuno. Manning started all 35 games he played for the Texans and had his season cut short in 2013 after six games because of a fractured fibula. He had 24 tackles and a sack last season. CLEVELAND - Former Redskins offensive co-ordinator Kyle Shanahan will get a chance to convince the Browns he should call their plays. Shanahan, fired following a rocky fourth season with Washington, will interview Wednesday to be Clevelands offensive co-ordinator. Hes to meet with coach Mike Pettine, who has been assembling his staff since his hiring last week. The 34-year-old Shanahan and father Mike Shanahan, the Redskins former head coach, were let go by Washington on Dec. 30 after going 3-13.
